As you may have noticed, pregnancies at Bella Luccè are bordering on epidemic proportions (stop looking at me Mom, I have no news to share). My threats to remove the office water coolers- for fear that there was something in our water- was a hollow one and the staff keeps chugging away. One more “announcement” and I might start spinning those hollow threats into steely promises. That, or I am going to open up an on-site day care facility.
Nevertheless, we bid farewell to Abby last month as she took leave for an impending baby arrival. We’re all still holding tight with her as we countdown the clock and she is doing marvelously well. Today, we say goodbye to Mary, who has diligently slogged away in our production department since last October. She’ll be spending the next few months preparing for her first child and we’ll be spending the next few months figuring out how to tame the labeling machine as only she can. Mary has graciously spent the last few weeks training her replacement (hi Michelle!), who is lovely and dear and unbelievably cute. All the same, we’re going to miss our Mary.
So please indulge us as we close the Bella Luccè offices today to celebrate Mary’s time with us over steaming plates of Asian food and likely a glass of sake (or seven). We’ll wind down at 3pm EST, but will be back in top form at 8:30am Monday, minus one dear friend. See you then…
