In other news, I am sitting at the airport on my way to a few days of fun in Indianapolis. It’s been 2 solid months since I boarded a plane (which my husband informed me this morning is like 2 years in “Lela Time”…ha) and I am anxious to get away. Some of my favorite people on the planet live in Indy and I fly in for my friend Sue’s birthday every year. There’ll be lots of good food and fun and- hopefully- a bit of a rest in there, too. I am flat exhausted by these Spring collections, but the end is near and I’ll cocktail my way straight through the next few days. My girlfriend Sara just informed me that the high today is a frigid 23 degrees in Indy…and I am once again kicking myself for being too busy this week to check the weather in my destination city before I pack and travel. My thin silk blouse and leopard peep-toe stilettos don’t seem as suitable all of a sudden- do you think this airport sells wool coats and scarves? Must. Go. See. That’s what I get for waiting until the middle of the night before my departure to pack!
