Bittersweet
July 30, 2008
Today is a bittersweet day for me. Jenny, my dear friend and our fantastic Marketing Director, has been here in Columbia for the last 12 days. Today I put her on a plane bound for Seattle to return her home to her awesome husband Mike and new puppy (hi Brewster!). This month has been a particularly busy time for me and Jenny graciously flew in to help me finish some important projects and, quite frankly, to keep me sane. God love her- she’s amazingly good at that. It wasn’t until today that I realized that I don’t have a single picture of the trouble we’ve gotten ourselves into during the visit. Not because there wasn’t trouble, mind you- only because I forgot to photograph it all. Give me a cocktail or two, though, and I’ll tell you allllll about it. Many thanks Jenny- you know how much I love you.
To cheer myself up on the way home from the airport, I ordered a large lemonade and got this little diddy beamed through on my Blackberry while sitting in line at the drive-thru:
That’s Bella Luccè’s Green Tea & Crushed Rice Body Scrub as featured in the Healing Arts Guide. It seems as though that body scrub made it onto the top 3 favorite’s list of the fine folks at the Greenbrier, where our products have been used for a few years now. Nothing like some surprise, complimentary press to cheer a girl up.
Speaking of, I also found out we won a really cool contest. But I can’t spill the beans until October. Somebody gag me- I wanna tell!
