Dry, chapped lips are an unfortunate reality of winter. Thankfully, outrageously priced lip scrubs don’t have to be. You can recreate a simple version of those department store concoctions at home- for a fraction of the price. For less than a nickel per application, you can use this handy little tip to help loosen and gently remove dead skin for a Pitt-worthy pucker. Take a pinch of brown sugar and gently rub onto moistened lips (don’t attempt this dry or you’ll risk raw, overly exfoliated lips). Rinse with warm water and immediately apply chapstick. I do this routine several times per week throughout autumn and winter and it yields beautiful results in seconds!

Have you met my friend Michelle?June 30, 2008This is our latest addition- the perpetually bubbly, insanely adorable and sweet spirited Michelle.  I wasn’t kidding about that “insanely adorable” thing, now was I? I have taken it on as my personal mission to get Michelle on the next season of America’s Next Top Model (Tyra, are you ou there?). She’s tall and thin with great skin and a gorgeous smile. Everyone in the office has asked her to tone down the pretty before we find ourselves suffering from inferiority complexes. Michelle is an Atlanta native who’s migrated up to South Carolina and found herself smack dab in the middle of Bella Luccè land. Her mom was my daughter’s teacher last year and still serves as Chloe’s Favorite Teacher Of All Time. A high honor. And Chloe is tickled pink that having Michelle at Bella Luccè means seeing Michelle’s mom from time to time at Bella Luccè. It’s a win-win situation: we get a lovely new production assistant and my kid thinks I’m a hero. Sometimes it’s just too easy. Welcome Michelle! printer friendly |
