Dry, chapped lips are an unfortunate reality of winter. Thankfully, outrageously priced lip scrubs don’t have to be. You can recreate a simple version of those department store concoctions at home- for a fraction of the price. For less than a nickel per application, you can use this handy little tip to help loosen and gently remove dead skin for a Pitt-worthy pucker. Take a pinch of brown sugar and gently rub onto moistened lips (don’t attempt this dry or you’ll risk raw, overly exfoliated lips). Rinse with warm water and immediately apply chapstick. I do this routine several times per week throughout autumn and winter and it yields beautiful results in seconds!

Our ears are burningMay 20, 2008We’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy another round of great press. Our friend Jen, of IndieFixx fame, included Bella Luccè’s Chianti & Grape Seed Crush as one of her favorite ways to spend that tax stimulus check that’s hitting mailboxes everywhere this month. She also highlighted an array of adorable indie goods, so stop by and check out the feature if you find yourself in need of some retail therapy. That particular scrub is getting a whole lot of press love lately. In addition to that mention in Ladies Home Journal, Natural Solutions Magazine also gave our wine scrub a lovely plug in their May issue as one of their favorite body treatments.  Healing Lifestyles & Spas magazine, meanwhile, recently ran a feature on figs and bodycare and gave a nice nod to our seasonal Cranberry Fig collection. We’ve got more fig action headed your way soon, so stay tuned…  Finally, the lovely Lindsay at Natural Solutions Magazine is responsible for a great feature on natural beauty ingredients from around the world.
